Since my Grandfather passed, I haven’t really been in the mood to write anything down. The whole 21 gun salute and taps and whatnot was rather depressing. Some good things have happened however.
My sister completed the requirements for her Master’s Degree in Education. The ceremony is this Saturday at 9 a.m. One more long drive, but it does give me time to myself to think and relax. Leslie got a new car since her last one pretty much died. I was driving her around for about 2 weeks so this is a tremendous relief. Fred got him and I some tickets to Morales vs. Pacquiao III in Vegas in November. Our flights and our rooms are booked and we’re ready to go. Vegas baby, Vegas.
I’ve seen about 10 boxing matches in person, but I’ve never been to one in Vegas. This is really exciting to me as a boxing fan since most big fights usually take place there and there’s a lot of history there as well. I hope to do a bit of gambling, but I don’t want to overdo it. (I’m sure that’s what most visitors to Vegas say)
Another bit of good news, I went to the Mack Brown meet-n-greet this year for the 3rd year in a row. This time, they had the National Championship trophy on display and you could take pictures next to it and everything. I also got a couple of signatures from Mack to give to my brother-in-law.
Leslie and I watched a movie that Jerry lent me called V for Vendetta. That is a great, great movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hightly recommend it. It’s an epic tale of classy defiance with a lot of style and violence mixed together. Tremendous film.
I took tomorrow off from work because I thought my sister’s ceremony was on Friday, but it’s not. I guess I’ll just wake up late, go to the gym, then pick up my rental that I’m only paying 39 dollars for the whole weekend, and take my time getting over there.
That is all for now, I hope to have more good news in my next posting.
