Gotcha

March 1st, 2005

How about that Tim Duncan last night against the Cleveland Cavaliers? About 4 seconds left on the shot clock, all tied up at 92, Parker penetrates, fakes the shot, passes over to Duncan and he burries it. I had to hear it all on Spurs 1200 radio (am) since the game was not televised. It’s not like the Spurs are the #1 team in the NBA or anything. Oh, wait, uhm… 43 and 13. Yes they are. Phoenix Suns are nippin’ at their heals just a half-game behind. (43 and 14)

Thanks

Got off the phone with my sister a while ago and she just reminded me about all of the things I’ve got to keep in mind and plan for as far as graduation. There is the apartment clubhouse, the entertainment, food, drinks, invitations, maps, money tree?, graduation chords, what suit to wear, where is everyone staying, who is all going to make it, what is planned for afterwards, who’s bringing the congratulatory cake, what am I going to say (speech-wise), who’s decorating the clubhouse, who’s bringing the music, etc. etc. I was dizzy when we got off the phone. Geez. I hope I graduate. :) Anyway, went to the last UT Women’s basketball homegame and they blew OU away. Aside from doing hours upon hours of Finite Math homework, we took a break and headed over to the Time Warner suite at the Frank Erwin Center. One of the UT players was injured and carted off on a stretcher unfortunately. That was a scary moment. She was not moving for a while there. This Wednesday, Leslie and I have tickets to Cirque Du Soleil. That should be interesting. You know what I was thinking about? “At GloboGym, we’re better than you, and we know it.”

This sucks. I’ve worked all day and now I have class until 10pm tonight. Finite Math nonetheless. (on St. Edward’s University campus about 20 miles from my house) Leslie is on vacation right now and is spending time alone at my apartment. There’s nothing I can do about that unless I skip school. I figure, at $1,800 dollars a class, that’s not a good idea. By the way, if you know anything at all about boxing, don’t go see Million Dollar Baby. Totally inacurate in all aspects. Good chick-flick though. Very touchy-feely. BMW came out with a new 3 series too. Just thought I’d throw that in. HBO is taking us (Time Warner Marketing Dept) to Dave and Buster’s tomorrow for games and lunch. That should be pretty cool. Good thing I’ve got Thursday off because I’m missing out on spending time with my girl.

As of last week, I was asked to join another collegiate Honor Society named Delta Mu Delta. Now I’ve already heard all the “Lambda, Lambda, Lambda” and “Omega Mu’s” jokes. I figure, it would only be beneficial to my future to have more than one Honor Society/Greek affiliation since it probably looks pretty good on a resume. I will be graduating this May and the party should be freaking outrageous. I want 40 kegs, 20 more cases, sixty bottles of scotch, and all the mules you can find. Ok, maybe I can do without the extra 20 cases of beer.
